I am a landscape painter drawn to solitary places, often with buildings, but never with figures. By removing the human presence, I invite both myself and the viewer to imagine stories of the past and form our own connections to the present.

Many of my subjects come from my home in Connecticut and the pristine landscapes of New England. More recently, my travels have introduced me to diverse environments and regional architecture, from ancient buildings and churches to regional homes. These places offer a sense of history and endurance that continues to shape my work.

Visually, I am drawn to contrasts: the hard lines of architecture against the organic forms of nature, cool colors alongside warmth, and the interplay of light and shadow. My curiosity about materials has led me to explore surface textures that build layers beneath the image, creating a tactile presence and sustained observation.

Ultimately, I paint places that endure with quiet dignity within our modern world of noise, fleeting trends and consumer culture.
